Deon Jackson Murdered in Bayview

Deon Jackson, just 25 years old, was shot dead at 8:40 last night in the 700 block of Kirkwood Avenue. No arrests have been made and there is no suspect description.

After more than a month without a homicide, San Francisco has experienced a spate of murders and shootings in the past week. Shaun Balleza, 33, was gunned down Wednesday in a drive-by shooting; 22-year-old Jelvon Helton was shot dead at Club Gravity on Monday night. Over the weekend, 46-year-old Kathleen "Kate" Horan was discovered dead in her Russian Hill home. Murder is suspected.
