WSJ Captures SF Online Gamers Outdoors

Posted By on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 4:48 PM

The Wall Street Journal posted a video today of a group of SF techies who have started something called SFZero which is a "collaborative production game" that seeks to send online gamers out into the streets where they carry out tasks. It's basically an elaborate, computer fueled form of Truth or Dare that appears to have limitless potential to annoy the bejeezus out of people. Is there an ironic handlebar mustache in your future? Oh yes, yes there is. --Andy Wright

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
