On July 12, bands and fans will descend upon Portrero Del Sol Park for what has become one of the signature events of the S.F. summer music calendar: Phono Del Sol, a daytime, outdoor mini-festival amid food trucks, skateboarders, and -- one hopes -- plenty of sunshine. This year's lineup is especially strong, with Baltimore's Wye Oak headlining over a long list of locals (or semi-locals) like Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, Nick Waterhouse, Blackbird Blackbird, White Fence, Yalls, Tony Molina, and the Tambo Rays. Tickets for Phono Del Sol are $25 in advance, but we want to send you and a friend for free. Continue reading to see how you can win tickets.

We'll make this very easy. Go to our Facebook page, like it (if you haven't already). Then, send an email to SFAllShookDown@gmail.com telling us why YOU should win tickets to Phono Del Sol and which festival food truck you're most excited to eat at. Be creative! Glib answers will be frowned upon.

We'll pick a winner by 2 p.m. this Thursday, June 26, and email if it's you.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
