And now, four minutes and 34 seconds of sound, video, and background on Indie Slash, the small but beloved dance party that takes over Amnesia every second Friday of the month. This Friday, June 13, the party celebrates nine years of getting the kids (and whoever) dancing to indie's best electronic beat dealers: Hot Chip, the Rapture, Cut Copy, and of course, LCD Soundsystem. Consider this video a useful primer: founding DJs Danny White and Rance discuss the party's origins at the even-tinier Attic (R.I.P.), what music they play, the easygoing vibe they pursue, and why White still finds reason to fly out here from New York once a month to spin. Watch below, and get the experience in person this Friday.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
