Update, 5/13/14: Phono Del Sol just added Nick Waterhouse, White Fence, Yalls, and Bill Baird to the lineup for July 12.

Original post: Another day, another outdoor music event lineup. We have it so hard living in the Bay Area. But today's announcement is Phono Del Sol, the Bay Bridged and Tiny Telephone's annual day show/hangout at Potrero Del Sol Park. In its three years running, this has grown into a classic summertime event, with excellent touring and local bands and a relaxed atmosphere. Headlining the 2014 edition of Phono Del Sol on July 12 is Wye Oak and the city's very own Thao and the Get Down Stay Down. Here's the full lineup so far:

Wye Oak

Thao and the Get Down Stay Down

Blackbird Blackbird

A Million Billion Dying Sun

The Tambo Rays

More band announcements are on the way.

Phono Del Sol takes place July 12 at Potrero Del Sol Park. Tickets this year are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. You can grab them here.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
