Complaining about the difficulty of catching Muni late at night, or the fact that BART doesn't run later on the weekends, is about as treasured a pastime around here as the post-party taco stop. But though we love to complain, there may be something we can actually do about it. Today at 1:30 p.m., a cadre of city officials and transit experts will discuss ways to improve late-night transportation, including such topics as:

-Availability & frequency of transbay transportation

-Availability & frequency of Muni LRV lines (Market Street Tunnel)

-Accessibility to information on Muni OWL lines

-Daytime vs. Nighttime Muni routes

-Transportation available to bar patrons and late night/early morning workers

-Public Safety

The hearing will occur before the Land Use and Development Committee at SF City Hall, Room 263. It begins at 1:30 p.m. today, Monday, April 14. If you're a serial complainer about the state of late-night getting around in this city, you might want to show up.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
