The Outside Lands 2014 Dates Are Now Official

You knew, didn't you? Yes, you did. You knew. But Ranger Dave just went and made it official: the Outside Lands festival is coming back this Aug. 8-10 in Golden Gate Park. Now, since we all could have guessed that, comes the real question: who's gonna play?

We've been scratching our chins about that for a couple days now, ever since news of the Great Outkast Resurrection of 2014 broke via the Coachella lineup last week. We, however, do not know at this point. We can only guess. (But we will guess a 'yes' on Outkast.)

Tickets also aren't available yet. The only thing you can do is RSVP on Facebook, sit, and wait. And venture guesses based on the lineups of other music festivals, because they're often the same. And you can go read our past Outside Lands coverage to facilitate your day-dreaming about what lies ahead. But at least now you know exactly how far ahead it's going to be.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
