Fauxchella: Here's Where to See Coachella 2014 Bands in the Bay Area

You want to see a bunch of artists that are playing Coachella 2014, but not necessarily while baking under the sun near people from L.A. We are here to help, with this guide to the cornucopia of upcoming Bay Area live dates. Let us remind you that it's Jan. 10 as we write this, and much of the concert industry machinery hasn't even begun whirling at full tilt yet, so many shows/tours/albums have yet to be announced. We'll add to this as they are. Point is: if you're looking to do Coachella at home -- and without the endless lines of cars, the camping, and the crispy skin -- peruse the below.

April 11 and 18

Outkast: Nothing so far, but Big Boi announced that the group is playing New York's Governor's Ball in June, and "hinted that more could be on the horizon," so....

The Knife: April 15-16 at the Fox Oakland (April 15 date sold out; April 16 date onsale Jan. 23).

Ellie Goulding: April 19 at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

Chromeo: April 12 at the Independent.

HAIM: April 9-10 at the Fillmore.

Bastille: April 10 at the Warfield.

Hot Since 82: Jan 10 at Audio Discotech.

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion: April 14 at Slim's.

Dum Dum Girls: April 8 at the Independent.

April 12 and 19

Skrillex: Feb. 3-8 at various venues in S.F.

Lorde: March 26-27 at the Fox Oakland (both nights sold out).

Empire of the Sun: April 17 at the Fox Oakland.

The Naked and Famous: With Imagine Dragons and X Ambassadors Feb. 13 at SAP Center, San Jose.

Future Islands: April 10 at the Chapel (also April 9 at the Catalyst, Santa Cruz).

Washed Out: Jan. 28 at the Fillmore.

Ty Segall: Feb. 25 at Rickshaw Stop.

DARKSIDE: Jan. 24 at the Fillmore.

Bombay Bicycle Club: April 20 at the Fillmore.

TJR: Feb. 16 at Fort Mason.

Makj: Feb. 22 at Ruby Skye.

Saints of Valory: March 3 at the Independent.

Bicep: April 12 at Mighty.

April 13 and 20

Arcade Fire: July 30 at Shoreline Amphitheatre.

Neutral Milk Hotel: April 9-10 at the Fox Oakland.

The 1975: April 17-18 at the Fillmore.

Adventure Club: Feb. 16 at Fort Mason.

Rudimental: With Ellie Goulding April 19 at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

John Newman: Jan. 16 at Rickshaw Stop.

Lee Burridge: Feb. 1 at Public Works.

Anna Lunoe: Feb. 1 at Mezzanine.

Scuba: Feb. 6 at Mezzanine.

John Beaver: Jan. 17 at Temple.
