GWAR's Oderus Urungus Reading Goodnight Moon Is the Funniest Thing You'll Watch Today

Posted By on Fri, Oct 25, 2013 at 12:30 PM

Whoever at Loudwire came up with the idea of getting GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus --the towering demon in monstrous costume who leads the world's most gruesome and most satirical metal band -- to read the classic chlidren's book Goodnight Moon deserves a huge fucking raise. Not only does Oderus have no idea what Goodnight Moon is, but he ad-libs throughout the whole thing, adding all sorts of delicious profanity and seeing things -- like, say a condom drying rack! -- we're pretty sure weren't in the original story. This probably isn't okay to play for little kids, but as far as adult entertainment goes, it's amazing.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
