So the folks behind local concert app WillCall are throwing a pop-up show at Public Works tomorrow, headlined by none other than the L.A./Portland/Marfa, Tex., goofballs YACHT. Naturally, we love YACHT's infectious dance pop, and since you probably do, too, we're teaming with WillCall to give away a pair of tickets to one lucky All Shook Down reader.

Here's how to enter: Send an email to with your name, email, and the title of your favorite YACHT song, with a short paragraph about why you like it. The funniest, cutest, or otherwise most charming entry will win two tickets to the show (and, fair warning, might also get posted on this blog). The deadline to enter is noon tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 26. So start writin' already!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
