Yeezy season approaching! Fuck what else ya'll got planned this October, because Kanye West just announced a solo tour -- a Yeezus solo tour, where we will presumably see the Divine Presence in a similar shadows/digital rendering/barking dogs visuals mode as his appearances on SNL and the VMAs. If you don't know why this prospect should be deeply exciting, let us add that we think Kanye -- for all his breathtaking hubris -- has been making some of the most interesting, challenging, and goal post-moving pop music art of 2013.

And if that doesn't excite you, well, what if we said Kendrick Lamar was his tour opener?

Yeezy, or Yeezus, or The Quick-Croissant-Needing God Himself, or Kim Kardashian's babby daddy, or the Man Who Makes Paparazzos Everywhere Tremble -- whatever you wanna call this dude, he's performing at the SAP Center (formerly HP Pavilion) in San Jose on Oct. 22 and the Oracle Arena on Oct. 23. Tickets go onsale Friday, Sept. 23. And look at the concert poster:

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
