Last month we told you about some local promoters' efforts to put on the first crowdfunded music festival ever -- while bringing back San Francisco's Summersalt festival. Well it looks like the folks at Eye Heart SF have succeeded. After raising more than its goal, the Summersalt campaign has resulted in -- yes, you guessed it -- a full-on festival, headlined by rap crew the Grouch and Eligh. The event will take place on Wisconsin Street near Potrero Hill, with one outdoor stage and one inside Thee Parkside, on Saturday, Sept. 14. Here's the full lineup:

The Grouch & Eligh

Felix Cartal

Kill Paris

Big Black Delta

Midi Matilda

K Theory

Jay Ant

Tasty Treat

Festiva

Aaron Axelsen

The Schmidt

Tech Minds

MPHD

SKOSTEP

R3Y

Apparently the notion of a crowdfunded music festival -- at least when you have a previously interested group of supporters -- is a smart one. Tickets for Summersalt are now $30 general admission, $45 VIP, and are available here.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
