Outside Lands is completely sold-out -- you won't see any tickets for sale at the festival this weekend -- but that doesn't mean getting in is impossible. You just have to get lucky. The SF Mixtape Society, an informal group that gathers quarterly to exchange and savor mixtapes, is randomly giving away a pair of Outside Lands passes to a person who submits a mixtape on or before Aug. 7. (Yes, that's tomorrow.) This could be your chance!

So what do you have to do? Make a mixtape and submit it to the society's website by 6 p.m. tomorrow, Aug. 7. The mixtape theme for this month is "camp."

Then, be lucky, and hope you win the two Outside Lands passes. The winner will be chosen randomly, so even if you just compile a Mumford and Sons best-of, you still have a chance of winning. (Regardless, please do not do this.)

Also, show up to the Society's meeting 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Make Out Room, and commune with your fellow mixtape-makers. It's free. But you can only take home a mixtape if you bring one of your own.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
