Beer and Music: The Bay Brewed Blends Some of the Best of Both

Since events that mix cool music with fancy things to put in your body (like food or booze) are increasingly going to become the norm in S.F. -- this being a trend we're somewhat conflicted about -- we at least hope they'll be really good. Good like new music fest the Bay Brewed (put on by the folks over at the Bay Bridged) all but promises to be.

Consider the music set for this daytime event: Bear in Heaven, Sonny and the Sunsets, Born Gold, and more. And then consider this: unlimited beer tasting (the three key words) from like the likes of local brewers Anchor, 21st Amendment, Magnolia, and more. Sure, it's not exactly cheap -- $50 advance, $60 at the door. But that seems reasonable when you take into account those three key words above, plus the generally soaring quality of the musical lineup.

The whole thing goes down at Public Works on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Check out the full music and beer lineup below:

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
