What to do when you need to reboot a major tech brand like Myspace? Howabout a series of shows targeted right at your core audience?

And so it is that ye olde (but also new) Myspace will present a Feel the Music series of shows in a few cities across the country -- including our own, where famed DJ Z-Trip and (former Major Lazer) wildman DJ Switch will play for free (with RSVP) at Mighty.

Yes, yes, that's right: A free Z-Trip show at one of San Francisco's finest clubs. Myspace really wants to be in your cool graces, kids.

The whole thing goes down Thursday, Nov. 1, at 9 p.m. at Mighty -- and you'll have to be over 21 to go. RSVP over here -- and note that you can only RSVP for one ticket, so your friends will have to do it on their own.

See the flyer below, and note that Z-Trip is wearing a BART map T-shirt from S.F.'s own Upper Playground.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
