It seems as though the weekend party gods may yet smile on San Francisco. Early forecasts show that the weather this weekend will be brisk but thankfully dry. And that's good news, because this weekend's got a grip of fantastic parties that will appeal to a diverse crowd, nu-disco fanatics and hip-hop heads included.

What: Dirtybird Fall Classic
When: 9 p.m. - 4 a.m.
Why: Going on for six years now, Dirtybird is one of San Francisco's most prolific labels. The brainchild of Claude VonStroke, Dirtybird is famous for putting out a ton of chart topping singles like VonStroke's own "Deep Throat." Though the label is loved throughout the world, nowhere supports it better than its hometown. These quarterly parties command a loyal following of open-minded partygoers addicted to the label's genre-crossing tunes. This season's edition features Claude VonStroke, Worthy, Christian Martin, and Justin Martin. As is the case with these things, expect to hear a lot of new and unreleased material from the Dirtybird camp, as well as plenty of old favorites. Also worth mentioning is the Funktion One sound system at Mezzanine, which makes it easily one of the best clubs in the city for electronic dance music.
What: As You Like It Presents Tiger & Woods
When: 9 p.m - 4 a.m.
Why: They smashed it last week at New York's Let's Play House, and now they're set to kick ass again at forward-thinking local party As You Like It. Mysterious disco-house production duo Tiger & Woods are one of underground dance music's biggest sensations. Their loopy and sarcastic edits have been on just about every tastemaker DJ's charts since they first started releasing material in '09. To get an idea of what they're all about, check out the cool "Gin Nation" and this podcast they did for Resident Advisor last year. Joining Tiger & Woods for the evening is local nu-disco outfit 40 Thieves, which is enjoying a moment in the spotlight following the release of its latest 12" on local label Public Release. Check out the excellent laid-back disco cut, "Don't Turn It Off."

What: Love Will Fix It
Where: Hot Spot
When: 10 p.m. - 2 a.m.
Why: Good tunes, a unique DJ style, and lots of atmosphere. Put together by local legend Bus Station John (whose other club, Tubesteak Connection, was recently featured in Lost in the Night), Love Will Fix it focuses on the fertile moment of late-'70s and early-'80s R&B. As always, this party is cellphone-free and all-vinyl. In John's own words, "The Love Will Fix It aim: To lift the spirit. Feed the soul. And move the baw-tay." Sounds good to us!
What: Blow Up Forever Presents The Rapture, Treasure Fingers, Fred Falke, and more
Where: The Factory
When: 10 p.m. - 3 a.m.
Why: Big name acts, a fantastic sound system, and a distinctly retro-'90s super-club. The last time Blow Up threw a party at the Factory was an absolute blast. This time, the party arguably sets the bar higher with a stacked roster of headlining artists. Top billing goes to the NYC-based dance-punkers of The Rapture who are currently on a live tour (yes, they'll be performing live) following the release of In The Grace of Your Love, their well-received latest LP. To get an idea of what they're all about, check out lead single "How Deep is Your Love" and the now classic "House of Jealous Lovers." Rounding out the evening is Fools Gold-signed DJ/producer Treasure Fingers (check out his big room hit "Cross the Dancefloor") and OG French touch mastermind Fred Falke (check out "Intro" the classic disco house joint Falke recorded with Alan Braxe).
What: Ankh Marketing Presents ?uestlove
Where: Public Works
When: 9 p.m. - 4 a.m.
Why: It's ?uestlove, do you really need any further explanation? The Roots' drummer is taking a break from his busy schedule at Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to grace the decks at Public Works with one of his hectic and eclectic DJ sets. A prolific record collector, ?uestlove's sets tend to span time and genre to trace the outlines of hip-hop in its breaks, beats, and formative cuts. Check out this video of his record room!
