Earlier this week, the True Panther label released a hint about the second full-length from S.F.-based indie-rock outfit Girls. It came in the form of a strange web widget that was apparently based on the album's cover art. Today, more details are finally out. Girls' latest album is called Father, Son, Holy Ghost. It comes out September 13 on True Panther, and will contain 11 songs. The strange cover widget, meanwhile, has grown into a little interactive piece of web art. There's a screenshot above, but check out the actual piece -- and the tracklisting for the new album -- after the jump.

Here's what True Panther had to say about the new album:

On the third anniversary of the birth of Girls as a band Christopher Owens and Chet White found themselves entering the studio to begin recording their second album. More a collection of gear than a studio, recording took place in the bowels of a San Francisco office building. The two teamed up with new drummer Darren Weiss and guitarist John Anderson assembling performances and ultimately creating new music and musical relationships to carry the band through its newest incarnation.

Here's the track listing for Father, Son, Holy Ghost:

Honey Bunny

Alex

Die

Saying I Love You

My Ma

Vomit

Just a Song

Magic

Forgiveness

Love Like a River

Jamie Marie

Going by how much we loved Girls' last record -- 2010's Broken Dreams Club EP -- and the explosion of critical enthusiasm produced by the band's debut, the new album will likely be one of the most anticipated indie releases from any S.F. band this fall.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
