One of the many bedroom producers to recently creep out of obscurity and into the view of the Internet and the local scene is San Francisco-based Blackbird Blackbird. We've posted about the singer/producer before, sharing a music video and mixtape that Mikey S. made for free distribution to the masses, but now, let us introduce you to his debut album, Summer Heart.

Blackbird Blackbird's album was released last month with no real fanfare, but the artist has since taken his wares out for New York's annual CMJ Festival. His next show is tonight at The Knockout as part of the monthly dance party curated by S.F. experimental indie outfit Maus Haus called Future Night. Along with DJs Danny Glover, Mike Stasis, J. Kick, and The Pope (not to mention live, on-demand web-surfing visuals by The Gend), Blackbird Blackbird will be playing a selection of his hazy, youthful pop tunes live and in person.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
