Flames tore through a Sacramento apartment building last night, damaging a studio where the metal band Tesla recorded.

Soundproofing in the recording studio, which was behind the apartment building, made it harder for crews to reach the attic, where the the three-alarm blaze had spread, according to the Sacramento Bee. But firefighters put covers over the instruments and memorabilia in the studio to protect them from water damage.

Tesla peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 1989's power ballad "Love Song," broke up in 1995, reunited in 2000, and toured the U.S. most recently last year. This band is every bit as '80s hard rock as you remember (if you remember).

No one was injured last night, but sadly, the fire killed two cats. Its cause is unknown.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
