This weekend we suggest you get soaked in the potential sauna of

Underground S.F.'s oft-smokin' dancefloor with a handful of disco's most

dedicated lovers, and go on a cosmic journey with a few of San Francisco's

retro-minded music-makers.

Just remember: Having fun is all up to you.

Saturday, August 7

What: Gemini Disco w/ DJs

Derrick Love, Vin Sol, and Conor

Where: Underground SF

When: 10 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Why: San Francisco's premiere monthly disco jump-off is back to help San Franciscans celebrate their extroverted selves. To

properly do so, No Way Back resident DJ Conor will be guest mixing classic tunes

alongside residents Derrick Love and Vin Sol. Patrons can expect the usual quality decor and a dancefloor full of our city's brightest and hottest. In the Gemini crew's own words, "YOU

COULD SAY IT'S GOING TO BE AMAZING OR GREAT BUT I PREFER USING MADE UP WORDS

TO DESCRIBE THE EXPERIENCE LIKE: BALALLZORS, XASTHRATATASTIC, STUPERCULOR or

maybe BALLS TO THE WALL CRAZY." Uh, yeah, that's what we're saying.

Sunday, August 8
What: Autobahn w/

The Beat Broker, Jonas Reinhardt, and DJ Tristes Tropiques

Where: KoKo Cocktails

When: 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Why: As its Kraftwerk-referencing title implies, the recently christened

Autobahn party is a

celebration of vintage, electronic-leaning dance genres such as

krautrock, Italo-disco, post-punk, and all retro-futuristic explorations

beyond. Certainly, there are no better local artists than The Beat Broker

and Jonas Reinhardt to bring out such illustrious jams. And with resident

DJ Tristes Tropiques calling the shots, this Sunday-night shindig is likely

to become one the city's best monthlies.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
