That's right: we're throwing a party. This July 25 in North Beach, you can catch Neon Indian and Janelle Monae along with a hefty smattering of local talent -- the Jazz Mafia All Stars, The Ferocious Few, and the Oakland Faders among them -- at the first-ever All Shook Down Music Festival.

Along with a big outdoor stage in the heart of North Beach, we've booked some of the best local bands of all genres in nearby bars and clubs. You can stroll from stage to stage all day for the meager sum of $10. And yes, there will be lots of beer.

The lineup so far:

Neon Indian
Janelle Monae
Forrest Day
The Jazz Mafia All Stars
AB & The Sea
Boca Do Rio
Joe Bagale
The Park
The Oakland Faders
Personal & The Pizzas
Grass Widow
Birds & Batteries
Tiny Television
Odessa Chen
Santero
Citay
The Ferocious Few
Bare Wires

Check back at All Shook Down in the coming days for more details and band announcements. Until then, clear your schedule for July 25... and get excited.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
