Ain't no tickets left for the LCD Soundsystem show on Thursday, so indie fans looking for a good time that night shouldn't need a helluva lot of carrot-waving to hit up the solid bill of up-and-comers playing for free (with RSVP) at Milk Bar. But just in case you do, show promoter Epicsauce has put together this free mixtape (download here) for your listening pleasure, which includes two songs each from Skeletal System, Craft Spells and Ghost Animal. We're digging the brittle shoegaze of "Through Your Eyes," from L.A.'s Ghost Animal, and savoring the lean, harmonic pop of Stockton's Craft Spells, which kinda sounds like what would happen if the Smiths, New Order and Animal Collective formed a knitting circle together.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
