If you've even heard of this thing called jazz, chances are you're a Miles Davis fan. And if you're at all familiar with the San Francisco scene, you know the Jazz Mafia as well. The talented local crew is paying tribute to the music legend for what would've been Davis' 84th birthday, with a show at Yoshi's on Tuesday, May 25th. They'll be playing two sets, with the first focused on Birth of Cool at 8 p.m. and the second getting electric with classic albums In A Silent Way, Live Evil, Bitches Brew, and Tutu.

Last year the Davis tribute sold out, but the Jazz Mafia is setting aside one pair of tickets to give away on All Shook Down. Be the first to give us the rundown on your favorite Miles Davis album below and the tickets are yours.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
