Free Show! Tempo No Tempo and Grass Widow Tonight @ 6 p.m.

Posted By on Thu, Mar 11, 2010 at 2:32 PM

If you're up near SF State today around 6 p.m., check out the Depot for a free gig from three local bands. Tempo No Tempo and Grass Widow will school college kids and post grads on the finer points of post punk, while Grandma's Boyfriend proffers smart-ass indie pop.

FYI: Tempo No Tempo's older video for "Repetition" (posted above) totally reminds me of all the flop houses I lived/partied in back in the olden days when I was freeloading my way through higher education down at UC Santa Cruz.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
