Two local bands made posts for extras recently, looking to grab some Bay Area talent for their video shoots.

This weekend, funk pop crew Happy Mayfield will get its Superfly on, on Saturday. The trio is looking for fans with a " 70s cop show / Superfly / western / contemporary cRit" wardrobe to RSVP as eye candy for their  8 p.m. video shoot. The added bonus? The group will perform at 10 p.m. that night at Mojito, as part of the live gig taping of their filmmaking extravaganza.

If country punk's more your thing, Jesse Morris and the Man Cougars will also put out a casting call for a live performance taping at their studio/graffiti art gallery on Saturday, Feb. 6. Not sure if you're allowed to wear the same CHiPs look for both.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
