Video of the Day: McCabe and Mrs. Miller's Desert Drama

Posted By on Tue, Jan 5, 2010 at 2:04 PM

Lonesome country duo McCabe and Mrs. Miller fled the city for the rundown motel rooms and expansive landscapes of Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree to film the video for "Time For Leaving," a Dear John letter wrapped in bittersweet harmonies. McCabe and Mrs. Miller is the pseudonym for the musical partnership between Victor Krummenacher (Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker, Monks of Doom) and Alison Faith Levy (Loud Family, The Sippy Cups, Mushroom). This tune is the title track to their debut album, and the video was filmed by local underground director Danny Plotnick.

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
