Free Outdoor Show Tonight: Sic Alps, Meth Teeth

Posted By on Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 6:47 AM

Remember those days when your mom forced you to play outside 'cause it was too nice to be indoors watching TV and stuff? Well with summer making a rare visit this week, we're telling you to go play outside--but you don't have to give up seeing music. Tonight San Fran's Sic Alps are performing with Portland's Meth Teeth (two band names that were meant to be typed together, no?) at Sutro Park at 8 p.m. (sharp! they say). Sweet lo-fi-psych-feedback-folk-fun-fun-fun.

If you miss this show, Sic Alps are also playing the Hemlock on July 23 as part of Mission Creek, but that'll put you back indoors and stuff.

And just where will this summery gig be hidden? Well we happen to have a map to the treasure right here...

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
