For those following the ABC's all out war on local all-ages clubs (taking Bottom of the Hill, Slim's, Great American Music Hall, and Cafe du Nord to task for such minor "infractions" as changing their opening hours or not serving enough food) a citizen action group has formed to get more folks involved in the fight. Stop the War on Fun  offers places for people to donate money, time, and emails to the cause. The state-run ABC is not beholden to San Francisco, but if the pressure of public outcry stays on these guys, and the pressure on the state legislators to stay on the issue in Sacramento remains, the clubs have a fighting chance in all this mess.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
