Classic San Francisco punks Flipper will show the young 'uns how it was done, Bay Area style, when the old school act drops a "Sex Bomb" on the Warped Tour this summer. The band has been added to the first three dates of the touring punk bash, and they've added Rachel Thoele on bass for those shows and the tour planned for this summer.
In more immediate news, much of Flipper's out of print material is making its way back into record (and digital) stores. Vinyl editions of Generic Flipper, Gone Fishin', Public Flipper Limited, and Sex Bomb Baby! are out at the end of this month, on the heels of the CD re-releases that came out at the end of last year.
But to prove they're not stuck in the past, Flipper will also release a new record in May--a twin batch of concept albums called Love (new studio record) and Fight (new live record) that feature Nirvana's Krist Novoselic on bass.
