It's impossible to listen to the newest single from Portland, Ore. band Oh Captain, My Captain
and not think of the Beach Boys. From the grand orchestration to the groovy harmonies, these dudes are sonic spittin' images of the Brothers Wilson & Co. At least that's the case with "Feet of Lead, Wings of Tin,"
a single the band released about a month ago. On the group's other MySpace offerings, their influences spread a bit, with frontman Jesse Bettis sounding very Chris Martin-ish in places as the music swells into angsty, melodic indie rock.
