I'm a huge fan of the California Academy of Sciences
. Or at least I think I am, from what I can remember of the enormous aquarium/planetarium/rain forest/science museum. Every time I decide to head into the park to stare at jellyfish for a couple hours, the lines (of kids, and kids, and more kids) scare me. So I'm glad to hear that Cal Academy is going to host weekly events for adults--a happy hour much like the one at the de Young Museum across the way. They're calling it NightLife
, and the series hits every Thursday evening from 6 until 10 p.m. with DJs, food, cocktails, and lots of science stuff. The first NightLife comes on Thursday, Feb. 12 with DJs Fluid
. Drink with the fishes.
