Buy "Guitar Hero: World Tour" at Bay Area Amoeba Stores for Ridiculously Cheap

Posted By on Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 11:21 AM

It's hard to speculate why Guitar Hero: World Tour is such a huge cultural phenomenon since it costs so damn much. When the game is bundled with its complete repertoire of fake plastic instruments, it seems like only the overpaid athletes featured in the TV spots (see above) can afford to buy it. The fine folks at Amoeba Music are belting out a collective "That ain't right!," because they're now holding a massive sale for Guitar Hero: World Tour on all gaming platforms. Aside from discounting the guitar bundle and stand-alone game, both the S.F. and Berkeley locations are taking $30 off the complete band bundle. The sale runs while supplies last, so hurry. Check out to get more info.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
