House music fans will be sad to learn that Pink, the Mission's only dedicated house nightclub for the past half-decade, will be closing its doors after one last party this Saturday, January 3. Resident DJ and Pink promoter Franky Boissy will spin along with David Harness (Fag Fridays/Super Soul Sundayz) and Mauricio Aviles (Naked Music). Admission is free all night. For more information and a loving farewell letter, visit the Pink website here. -- J. Graham

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
