If New Year's Eve never lasts long enough for your debaucherous lifestyle, you may want to consider moving to Trashcanfrancisco for a couple days, starting tomorrow, Dec. 31 through Saturday, Jan. 3. Where exactly is this trashy party haven? In parts of Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco, where the Rock n Roll Adventure Kids are hosting four nights of garage punk madness under the banner of Trashcanfrancisco New Years Bash. The shindig starts on New Year's Eve with Nobunny, Shannon and the Clams, Rock n Roll Adventure Kids, Baci Galoopis, C'mon Everybody, DJ Jorge, and DJ The Duke of Windsor at Ghost Town Gallery. From there it moves to the Knockout  for two nights Jan. 1 and 2 (with different lineups each night) and the grand finale goes down at Gilman on Jan. 3 with The Flakes, Th' Losing Streaks, The Shankers, and Nobunny. The cost is five bands for five bucks at each show, and for the full rundown on what's what, check out the schedule here. -- Jennifer Maerz

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
