Yet another line between web project and live show will be blurred on Tuesday, December 9, as the Keys to the City online imeem series on hip-hop culture with a street perspective comes to the Independent (628 Divisadero Street).

The concert will feature U-N-I (who was recently awarded MTV Video Music Award as LA's Best Breakout Artist), Blu (who just graced the cover of XXL magazine as one to watch in '09), Fashawn and Richie Cunning, as well as DJs Keelay and Zaire.

Want to go? We've got two pairs of tickets to the show, courtesy organizer

Will Abramson. The first two to respond with their names and a valid e-mail address (you know the drill) take 'em. --Janine Kahn

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
