Local label Talking House Records is following up last year's holiday-themed release, A Foggy Holiday: Carols from the SF Music Scene with Vol. 2 of the series and a release party this Friday, Dec. 5 at Bottom of the Hill.

The disc features locals like the The Matches, Scissors For Lefty, and Loquat tackling old favorites ranging from "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" to "The

Little Drummer Boy," and "Do They Know It's Christmas." You can hear some of these seasonal jingles (alongside non-X-Mas originals) live when The Heavenly States, The Trophy Fire, The Federalists, and other artists on the comp  are joined by their Foggy friends at the Bottom of the Hill party. -- Jennifer Maerz

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
