Sir Richard Bishop hasn't met a style of guitar playing he can't adopt as his own. The Sun City Girls member flirts with everything from jazz to Latin and Indian styles of playing. His music is beautiful and meditative, perfect for a late Sunday afternoon stroll into Aquarius -- where he'll be performing (this Sunday that is) for free at 4 p.m. He'll be donning an acoustic guitar that day, in preparation for his plugged in show at Cafe du Nord the following evening. To see why neither show should be missed, check out samples of his acoustic splendor here. -- Jennifer Maerz

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
