Mark Farina Brings Mushroom Jazz to Amoeba In-Store in Oct.

Mark Farina has blessed our eardrums with luscious downtempo, hip-hop, and R & B for over a decade with his series of Mushroom Jazz mixes. With the release of Mushroom Jazz Vol. 6 out next week, the SF DJ wants to introduce your new soundtrack for chilling out with an in-store performance at SF's Amoeba Music next Thursday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. As always, it's free to to get in. --Oscar Pascual

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'.
