YouTube to Stage Live Event in SF

Posted By on Mon, Oct 6, 2008 at 1:03 PM

YouTube is an amazing site where you can view some of the most talented creative minds of our time, as well as laugh at the buffoonery of dickheads and morons. The folks at the ultra-popular video sharing community want to translate that experience into a live event aptly titled YouTube LIVE! that features appearances from all your favorite video celebrities like Akon, Soulja Boy, the Mythbusters, Tay Zonday, and a slew of others. This Nov. 22 event is so top-secret you can only get in via invitation at an undisclosed location. More info at YouTube.com. --Oscar Pascual

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
