In case you're wondering what local band Girls keeps on its list of likes, singer Christopher Owen offers a glimpse with the band's new video for my favorite of their songs, "Lust For Life" (no relation to the Iggy Pop song). Holding up cards (a la Dylan) Owen flips through a list that ranges from Ariel Pink, Thee Oh Sees, The Traditional Fools, and Felt to River Phoenix and Dakota Fanning. For such an awesome pop song, not a whole lot happens in the video, but hey, it does look like Owen owns some pretty cool pastel curtains in his bedroom. Check it yourself below. -- Jennifer Maerz

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
