The Hold Steady would like to think of themselves as purveyors of that good old rock 'n roll. Which is probably why their own Tad Kubler just can't get down with the latest Radiohead album. While not all of us can comprehend the awesomeness that is Radiohead, everyone can understand the Hold Steady's brand of bracing guitar rock when they play the Fillmore Nov. 23 and 24. Tickets go on sale Sun., Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. --Oscar Pascual

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
