Video: Pink Slip, Trannyshack's Replacement, Debuts

Posted By on Thu, Aug 21, 2008 at 8:42 AM

Pink Slip, the new Drag Cabaret show filling in for Trannyshack at the Stud Bar, kicked off Tuesday night. We missed it (we suck), but found this video of the inaugural performance on host Virginia Suicide's website. In it, Charisma Glitterati performs to Bjork's "It's Oh So Quiet." Looked like a good time - flying diaper smeared with godknowswhat and all! Hat tip to Clubs Editor John Graham for the link. --Janine Kahn

P.S. Don't miss the Trannyshack Kiss-Off Party on Saturday.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
