You should know Patton Oswalt as the voice of Remy in Ratatouille, but he's even more sharp-witted and hilarious when he isn't a digitally animated rat with a passion for the culinary arts. One of the main members of the Comedians of Comedy, Oswalt can make you laugh by taking keen jabs at KFC commercials, pondering why Republicans love the flamingly gay Cirque du Soleil, or just by referencing indie rock bands and comic books. If you're feelin' kinda Patton, you can catch him when he'll play a whole bevy of shows at Cobb's Comedy Club from Aug. 7-10. Get your tickets here. --Oscar Pascual

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
