The Liars Video to Blow Your Mind

Posted By on Thu, Jul 26, 2007 at 2:08 PM

I'm a huge fan of Liars' psychotic, psychedelic post-punk madness. So I'm stoked that the band has a new album coming out August 28. And I'm a huge fan of the evil things their music does to the brain live, so I'm ecstatic that the group is touring (with Interpol, whatdayaknowaboutthat), hitting S.F. October 20. But when I saw the new video -- a crazy mindfuck of the David Lynch sort and a Karen O. cameo -- well, I have to say I want to do nothing for the rest of the day but cruise down Liars' lost highway. --Jennifer Maerz

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
