Brava Theater Center combines progressive ideals with excellent entertainment for Brava's New Year's Eve Comedy Fiesta 2013. The show brings together three brilliant women, Marga Gomez, Dhaya Lakshminarayanan, and Micia Mosely for a night of "smart, joyous, feminist, and twisted stand-up." Gomez is the best-known of the three and headlines. She's been featured on everything from HBO to Comedy Central to PBS, and counts S.F.'s own Robin Williams and Armistead Maupin as fans. Mosely and Lakshminarayanan are no slouches either, with credits on NPR's Snap Judgement and a New York Innovative Theatre Award nomination between the two of them. Mario Montes hosts and the laughs are followed up by a dance party and countdown with DJ Mark Mark. Proceeds from the event benefit the theater's parent organization Brava! For Women in the Arts, and the dance party is expected to last until "the wee hours."

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
