Travis: Show Preview

Wednesday, Oct 2 2013

Travis has a knack for writing emotionally engaging, laid-back rock songs with killer choruses that often contain a wink of humor. Best remembered for big hits early in its career, like "Why Does It Always Rain on Me?" and "Writing to Reach You," the Scottish quartet has remained relatively underground on this side of the Atlantic, despite a still-enormous following in Europe. Having taken a five-year break, the band returns to San Francisco this weekend in support of its characteristically heartwarming new album, Where You Stand, led by gorgeous new single "Moving." Travis' inherent relatability and charming songwriting pretty much guarantee that this show will make for an awesome Saturday date night. Take your sweetie and do some smooching.
