Under the name Tobacco, Tom Fec's ragged drums and smears of psychedelic melody jerk to life — and just as quickly skate to a halt — as the heads of his reel-to-reel decks make and break contact with his loops. Pennsylvania-based Fec constructed Fucked Up Friends, his first solo album away from Black Moth Super Rainbow, by using and abusing warped magnetic tape and detuning analogue synths. The record heats up when the frayed grooves pound down through swarms of abstract hip-hop beats.

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
