Late last year, celebrated New York DJ Jonathan Toubin suffered a freak car accident — in his hotel room. While pulling into Portland's Jupiter Hotel parking lot, a taxi driver hit the wrong pedal and sent his cab barreling into Toubin's room on the ground floor. Toubin, who is best known for his rock and soul-focused New York Night Train parties, was pinned under the car, and left in critical condition. He's still hospitalized, but is now walking, talking, and listening to his records. Benefit parties are happening around the country for Toubin, and the San Francisco edition will feature local rockers Ty Segall, Shannon and the Clams, Hank IV, Lenz, DJ Primo, and more. It promises to be an excellent night of music, and all the proceeds will benefit Toubin.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
