The Pilgrimage: Bodie

Four hours east of San Francisco is Bodie, once a thriving Gold Rush town now a curious ghost town that attracts some 200,000 visitors annually. The town, which is now a California Historical Landmark, was once rich in wealth and crime, earning the moniker " The Bad Men of Bodie." Photographs by Erin Sherbert.
