Show preview: Nôze

Wednesday, Jul 14 2010

Parisian electronic duo Nôze (Ezechiel Pailhes and Nicolas Sfintescu) started out a few years back, releasing singles and EPs with French titles such as "Danse Avec Moi" and "Souffle." But more recent offerings have been in cheeky English — see, for example, the humming bounce of "Meet Me in the Toilet." Booming, addictive basslines keep the duo's whimsy firmly grounded, and its low-end tendencies practically ensure nonstop dancing. Fans of the group's Get Physical labelmates, Booka Shade and M.A.N.D.Y., will especially want to catch Nôze's S.F. live debut.

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
